ORIENTAÇÃO GERAL

Os trabalhos a serem submetidos para apresentação na forma de pôster e/ou na forma oral, terão duas formas de submissão: RESUMO (ABSTRACT) e TRABALHO COMPLETO.

1 - Inicialmente o(s) autor(es) deverão submeter o RESUMO (ABSTRACT), de acordo com as Normas para RESUMO (ABSTRACT) especificadas abaixo, indicando uma das 10 áreas técnicas do assunto, conforme menu de opções. Após analisado pela comissão técnico-científica, o autor principal receberá correspondência confirmando o aceite de seu trabalho a ser apresentado na forma de pôster e/ou na forma oral. A apresentação oral do trabalho poderá ser feita tanto em inglês, como em português, pois haverá tradução simultânea (inglês/português e vice-versa) em todas as sessões da conferência. A data limite para submeter o RESUMO (ABSTRACT) é 31/05/2006 . Após esta data não serão mais aceitos qualquer submissão de RESUMOS (ABSTRACT).

2 - Após o recebimento da correspondência de aceite de seu trabalho, o(s) autor(es) deverão submeter eletronicamente o TRABALHO COMPLETO, de acordo com as Normas para TRABALHO COMPLETO especificadas abaixo, até a data limite de 31/07/2006 . Após esta data não será mais aceita a submissão dos trabalhos.

3 - Tanto o RESUMO (ABSTRACT), quanto o TRABALHO COMPLETO deverá ser redigido e submetido exclusivamente no idioma inglês. Não serão aceitos trabalhos em outros idiomas.

NORMAS PARA RESUMO (ABSTRACT)

•  Os RESUMOS (ABSTRACT) devem representar um trabalho original, digitado em espaço simples, idioma inglês, folha A4, com margens de 2,5 cm em todas as bordas e fonte Times New Roman 12. Não deve ultrapassar 300 palavras. Seguir orientação abaixo em " Submission of Abstracts".

•  Deve conter:
- Título do trabalho
- Nome completo do(s) autor(es),
- Instituição do(s) autor(es)
- Endereço completo de todos os autores, incluindo rua, cidade, país, CEP etc
- E-mail do autor principal, para o qual toda correspondência será encaminhada
- Indicação da apresentação na forma de pôster ou oral
- Área técnica para apresentação do trabalho

Submission of Abstracts
Abstracts of original works, never published or presented before must be typed on A4 paper, single spaced, with 2.5 cm margins (top, bottom and sides), using Times New Roman, 12 point font, left-right justified. They should include the following sections:

Mailing address, City, Country, Postal Code

Preferred Presentation (oral or poster)

Abstract of no more than 300 words.

NORMAS PARA TRABALHO COMPLETO

• Os TRABALHOS COMPLETOS deverão ser preparados de acordo com as instruções para trabalhos " Preparation of manuscripts ", descritas logo abaixo.
• Favor prestar atenção em particular, às seções gerais, resumos, texto, referências, figuras e tabelas
• Os TRABALHOS COMPLETOS não devem ter mais do que 15 páginas, incluindo texto (espaço duplo), tabelas e figuras. Folha tamanho A4, margens de 2,5 cm em todas as bordas, e devem ser apresentados em fonte Times New Roman (Tamanho 12) ou outra fonte de tamanho semelhante.
• Figuras e tabelas deverão ser incluídas no texto e também enviadas separadamente em formato XLS , JPEG, BMP ou GIF.
• Somente serão aceitos os trabalhos submetidos eletronicamente no site do evento, conforme indicado, em editor de texto WORD e idioma inglês.
• Todos os TRABALHOS COMPLETOS submetidos e aprovados pelo comitê organizador, serão publicados nos PROCEEDINGS da 9th International Working Conference on Stored Product Protection - 9thIWCSPP , juntamente com as palestras apresentadas. A data limite é 31/07/2006 . Após esta data não será mais aceita a submissão dos trabalhos.
• Por favor, tenha seu trabalho revisado por um colega antes da submissão, pois é de integral responsabilidade do(s) autor(es) a qualidade de apresentação do trabalho submetido.
• O comitê organizador da 9thIWCSPP poderá solicitar esclarecimentos ou alterações, e reserva o direito de recusar qualquer trabalho que não satisfaça os padrões de qualidade de publicação.

Preparation of manuscripts
General: Manuscripts, in English, must be typewritten, double-spaced with wide margins on one side of white paper. Good quality typescripts with a font size of 12 pt are required. The corresponding author should be identified (include a Fax number and E-mail address). Full postal addresses must be given for all co-authors.

Text: Manuscripts in general should be organized in the following order: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Main text (Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussion), Acknowledgements, Appendix, References, Figures, Figure Captions and then Tables. A very brief summary or conclusion may be included after the Discussion, but it should neither replace nor repeat the Abstract. The corresponding author should be identified with an asterisk and footnote. All other footnotes (except for table footnotes) should be identified with superscript Arabic numbers. Please also supply five key words (or short phrases).

The technical description of methods should be given in detail only when such methods are new. SI units, and abbreviations, should be used throughout. Any unusual or Greek letters must be clearly identified.

The international rules of nomenclature should be used for all organisms. Full species names including the authority (e.g. Acanthoscelides obtectus (Say) ) should be given the first time that an organism is mentioned. Authorities for the names should be given in full except in the cases of Linnaeus and Fabricius, which may be abbreviated to L. and F. respectively. Other than at the beginning of a sentence names may subsequently be abbreviated, (e.g. to Acanthoscelides obtectus or to A. obtectus ) where no ambiguity may arise. Common names should be avoided in the title.

Common names of pesticides, which have been accepted by the International Standards Organisation (ISO), should be used wherever possible. In other situations a name used by a renowned national body (Entomological Society of America , INRA, etc.) should be used. The full chemical name of pesticides, which lack an ISO name, should be given when the compound is first mentioned. Trade names for active ingredients are preferable to those for particular formulations.

The following symbols and abbreviations may be used as appropriate. Days (d), hours (h), moisture content (m.c.), relative humidity (r.h.). When using any abbreviation (except % and oC) leave a single space between the numeral and following character. Avoid fractions. Numbers should be written in full where they occur at the beginning of a sentence and where they are not associated with units (thus:?Ten beetles in 5 months).

References: All publications cited in the text should be presented in a list of references following the text of the manuscript. In the text refer to the author's name (without initials) and year of publication (e.g. "Since Peterson (1993) has shown that..." or "This is in the agreement with results obtained later (Kramer, 1994)"). For three or more authors use the first author followed by "et al.", in the text. The list of references should be arranged alphabetically by authors' names. The manuscript should be carefully checked to ensure that the spelling of authors' names and dates are exactly the same in the text as in the reference list. "Please note that all journal titles should be given in full".

References should be given in the following form:

Papers or books with titles in a foreign language may have an accurate English translation of the title in addition to the title in the original language (except where the language has a non-Roman alphabet, in which case a translation alone is acceptable with the original language clearly indicated).

Abstracts: All papers and short communications must be provided with a brief abstract of less than 300 words.

Tables
1. Authors should take notice of the limitations set by the size and lay-out of the journal. Large tables should be avoided. Reversing columns and rows will often reduce the dimensions of a table.
2. If many data are to be presented, an attempt should be made to divide them over two or more tables.
3. Drawn tables, from which prints need to be made, should not be folded.
4. Tables should be numbered according to their sequence in the text. The text should include references to all tables.
5. Each table should be typewritten on a separate page of the manuscript. Tables should never be included in the text.
6. Each table should have a brief and self-explanatory title.
7. Column headings should be brief, but sufficiently explanatory. Standard abbreviations of units of measurement should be added between parentheses.
8. Vertical lines should not be used to separate columns. Leave some extra space between the columns instead.
9. Any explanation essential to the understanding of the table should be given as a footnote at the bottom of the table.

NORMAS PARA PREPARAÇÃO DO PÔSTER

• Cada pôster será alocado em um painel de acrílico, medindo um máximo de 1.00 m de largura x 1.20 m de altura .
• Estes podem ser fixados no painel através de adesivos colocados diretamente no verso do pôster ou por fixadores metálicos na parte superior.
• Somente pontos chave deverão ser incluídos no pôster; detalhes deverão constar no TRABALHO COMPLETO.
• Orientação sobre fontes, (somente recomendações):
  Título: Times New Roman -Tamanho 55
  Nomes dos Autores: Arial - Tamanho 40
  Subtítulos: Arial - Tamanho 40
  Corpo do Texto: Times New Roman - Tamanho 24 (deverá ser legível a uma distância de pelo menos 1 metro)
