The organising committee of the 9th International Conference on Stored Product Protection, held in Campinas, SP, from 15th to 18th October, has made public this week the rules for subscription of technical-scientific works at the event. Over 300 work pieces are expected, presenting the innovations in science and technology developed through research in pos-harvest around the world.
According to the president of the 9th IWCSPP’s organising committee, Irineu Lorini, the work pieces can be submitted to the commission as abstracts or complete pieces, however, only complete pieces will be a part of the book (Anais) handed out at the start of the event. “The works’ presentations can be made in oral form, or through posters, but we point out that, as this is an international event, proposals can only be submitted in English”, says the researcher Irineu Lorini, pointing out as well that the Conference’s plenary sessions will be held in English, with simultaneous translation to Portuguese, and vice-versa.
The work pieces to be submitted must indicate one of the 10 technical areas that make up the event: Losses in Storage; Microorganisms, Micotoxins and Other Biological Contaminants; New Chemical Products and Residues in Food; Drying in Grain Quality; Biology, Behaviour and Detection of Stored Product Pests; Fumigation and Controlled Atmosphere; Alternative Methods to Chemical Control; Pest resistance to Pesticides and Control Strategies; Contaminants through Psocopters, Acarae and Other Agents; Stored Product Protection (general).
